Election result for non-aligned reps on ULA national steering committee

Decided on first preferences

Joseph – 19
Therese – 17
Alan – 4

Joseph & Therese elected

Quite a low turnout as apparently there are 130 non-aligned with 2012 memberships.

But the result is an accurate reflection of the politics of the ULA non-aligned.

I look forward to continuing to work with Joseph and Therese.

Alan, your comment that the result is an accurate reflection of the politics of the ULA non-aligned is accurate and also an accurate reflection of yourself.

Your ‘overall’ politics, and some of your method, may be in a small minority but, as far as I can see, you are able to work well practically and personally with campaigns and other ULA members on those thing on which you agree. This is not always the case with those who aspire to an advanced programme in the shorter term. It is a credit to you and the reason, I am sure, that you are held in respect as a valued colleague and activist by many who do not share your full politics.
